The Glastonbury Chamber is very pleased to announce the first ever Connecticut Farm & Folk Festival!

The CT Farm & Folk Festival will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 (rain date June 7) on the grounds of the Glastonbury Elks Lodge at 98 Woodland Street in South Glastonbury.

The Festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature 10-12 gourmet food trucks, a dozen musical acts on two stages, a Summer pub, a farmer’s market featuring farmers from in and around the surrounding areas, and other family-friendly activities.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate the rich farming heritage of Glastonbury and Connecticut in general and the Glastonbury Chamber will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Glastonbury High School Regional Agricultural Science and Technology Center, which includes instruction in agricultural science and technology education. The purpose is to prepare individuals for entry-level employment or higher education and to develop leadership skills in the field of agriculture. Programs include instruction in plant and animal science, agricultural mechanics, food science, Biotechnology, aquaculture, agribusiness, natural resources and the environment.
